How to save or download a video from you tube onto your computer using Windows 7
Hi my name is Roger Ahuja and I'm going to take a moment and show you how to download a video off of youtube onto your computer. So, first we're going to open up Internet Explorer and go to you tube. Then we'll pick a video here we'll just pick this one. And I'm just going to pause it here because we don't need to watch it right now. And up here in the address bar all I'm going to do is put the word save in between the dot and the you in youtube. Just put in the word save and hit enter. And it's going to take you to this website. Now you're going to run this program. Go ahead & hit run and when you do that, it's going to come up and give you a choice of what file format you're going to want to download. FLV is for flash and MP4 and so forth. I'm going to pick MP4 and I'm going to pick the 720p version and I just click on that and then at this point down here it asks if you want to save or what you want to do, I'm going to hit save. And then while it's downloading you can see that there's an ad here and we don't want to click anywhere on this ad because it's going to end up who know where we might end up and what we might install on our computer so avoid all that. Just right click on Internet Explorer right here and close the window and once that's done, then it will continue to download in the background and as you can I've downloaded this earlier just for testing so I'm going to open this up rather than wait for it to download it again. I guess it's replacing the last file so we're going to have to wait here so I'm going to pause this video. So, it's finished downloading and I'm going to go ahead & hit open and as you can see it opens up in Windows Media player and it's running locally and that's it.
